About Arvor Mountain Biking, Cornwall

Arvor Principal Mountain Biking Instructor – Gary Bullen

Gary Bullen is the principal of Arvor Mountain Biking Cornwall. A mountain bike and outdoor enthusiast/adventurer who has lived and mountain biked in the Falmouth area all his life. Gary founded Arvor Mountain Biking Cornwall in 2005 after completing a career as a Physical Training Instructor in the Royal Marines.  During his career he specialised in working in extreme environments and has led expeditions to the North and South Poles. During off-peak times Gary is a team leader for www.extremeworld races.com events.

Gary’s riding has taken him to Scotland, North Wales, Cyprus and Fiji and Alaska – but for Gary, the old quarry pits and tram ways around Bissoe make this the best place in the world to ride.

Gary’s coaching and teaching work has led him to gain a Certificate in Education. An experienced teacher of mountain biking of all ages and abilities (from nervous beginners to advanced riders), Gary works with individuals, school groups and private groups to provide mountain bike sessions which are exciting, fun, informative and safe.

His passion for mountain biking has enabled him to acquire a level 5 coach.  He’s an immediate response first aider and has been accredited by AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Agency)
